HAU brings together students and graduates from the design programs in Kolding in a creative and engaging community. We are driven by volunteers and passionate about creating experiences that connect people through design.
Here, we meet across cohorts for wine tastings, workshops, excursions, talks, and alumni evenings.

HAU is the place where you can explore new perspectives, share ideas, and build a network you can draw on—both during and after your studies.

WHY ARE WE CALLED HAU?

“HAU” is a Māori word meaning the spirit of the gift. When you give a gift, both you and the recipient are surrounded by a “HAU sphere,” and according to the Māori people, this act creates a social relationship. In our association, we aim to create a framework for the exchange of knowledge and experience within the field of design—between the industry and students from the design programs.
